ABOUT
Demo page for business owners. This studio does not exist.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Sample Atelier is an imaginary ceramics studio in Kyoto, made up so that business owners can see a finished JAPANVERSE page. Visitors would come here to try the potter's wheel, paint a small cup, and take home a bowl made by their own hands. Every name, price and detail on this page is invented for demonstration.
The (fictional) studio began when a young potter, tired of making the same mugs for department stores, decided to open her workbench to travelers. She wanted people from abroad to feel the weight of wet clay and the quiet of a Kyoto morning, not just buy a souvenir.
In this imagined story, the studio is a narrow wooden building with a small kiln at the back. Guests sit at the wheel for about an hour, choose a glaze, and the finished pieces are fired and shipped home a few weeks later. Between sessions there is time for a bowl of matcha and a chat about how Kyoto ware is different from other Japanese pottery.
This is the kind of story JAPANVERSE writes for real shops after an interview: who makes the work, why it matters, and what a visitor will actually experience. For this sample, the people and the place are invented.

FAQ
No. This is a sample page made by JAPANVERSE to show business owners what a finished page looks like. The studio, people and prices are fictional.
Not at all. In a real studio page, this is where the owner explains that beginners and children are welcome and an instructor guides every step.
On a real page, the owner would explain shipping options here. For this sample, overseas shipping is described as included in the workshop price.
